Christine D. exhibition

The Christine D. exhibition will be held at the Beauraing Tourist Office from 20/09 to 02/10/2024. The artist’s works will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

“My name is Christine. I’ve been living in Beauraing, not to say Sevry, for just over 11 years now. When I finished restoring my house, which was unfit to live in when I bought it, I had to find something to do…

I’d always dreamt of stained glass, ceramics, writing and all sorts of activities except sport.

One day, while out and about, I was lucky enough to stop off at Colette the potter’s little workshop. This place has become my home base. I indulge in disparate activities such as reading, upholstering armchairs or the beginnings of bookbinding, but every week I return to the port for moments of pure happiness.

I wander around the local craft markets and a little further afield.

In September, I put down my ceramics at the Beauraing tourist office for a few days. They are fountains and gargoyles, subjects so vast and still unfulfilled.

With terracotta, anything is possible, but I’ve only just begun… The rest will be in other lifetimes, so infinite is creation and so different are lifetimes…
