Anne-Marie Lepage tentoonstelling

Anne-Marie Lepage exhibition

Anne-Marie Lepage exhibition
The Anne-Marie Lepage exhibition will run from 26/10 to 08/11 at the Beauraing Tourist Office. Photographs by the artist, known by her pseudonym Am’L, will be on display every day from 8.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm. Admission is free.

Here’s a summary of her background:

A graduate in drawing and computer graphics from the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Namur.

She also trained in painting and photography at the Namur academy.

I started working with digital photography in 2012, after devoting myself to drawing and painting for a while.

Working in series: series of traces left by the sea on the beach; series of water colours in the Bay of the Somme; series of hybridisations (reworked photos).

In 2023: the site of the twin slag heaps in Nord Pas de Calais, largely in black and white. At the same time, a series of photos taken during successive confinements, at home or in the immediate vicinity.

Ambition: to capture a climate, an atmosphere. To provoke a reaction, a feeling in the viewer’s soul.

Objective: to work more and more with minimalist photography, offering only what is worth showing. The message must be conveyed directly, without the eye being lost in unnecessary and disturbing detail. The choice of black and white is a good way of achieving this.

Don’t hesitate to visit the artist’s blog, which you can find here, to discover some of his world and his work:
