Isabelle Presta exhibition

The exhibition of Isabelle Presta’s paintings will take place from 14 to 27/09 in our Tourist Office. The entrance is free and you can discover the works every day from 8.30 am to 12 am and from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Presentation of the artist :

“I am a Belgian artist (from Namur) of Italian origin. Ever since I was a little girl I have had a passion for
for drawing and painting. As far back as I can remember, I have always loved to create and imagine,
tinkering, colouring,…
I first took part in painting courses in a private academy for two years.
Then I started a course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Namur: drawing courses,
painting, multidisciplinary and ceramics (evening classes).
After four years, I decided to take a break and follow photography courses at the IATA (Institut des Arts Techniques et Graphiques de Namur)
I graduated in 2004 and was selected by the jury in the four best elements.
My oil paintings often represent nature and in particular “marine” landscapes with
vivid colours.
I have participated in numerous exhibitions in Belgium, France and Italy.

When rather sad events disrupted my life, I gradually lost the joy and enthusiasm of painting.
and enthusiasm for painting. I tried several times to get back to work but I was not really satisfied.
I was not really satisfied because I was no longer the same and I needed a change! Something inside me told me
something inside me told me that it wasn’t the right time yet.
I think of the Buddhist saying: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears”.
In my case, I would say: “When the soul is ready, the inspiration appears”.
This is exactly what happened, one day I listened to my soul whispering in my ear that it was
that it was high time to express all the colours that animate me from within, to make them explode and
and give them to the world!

I decided to express myself through acrylic and abstract art.
I choose my colours first and then I let myself be guided by my inspiration.
