Sylviane Tirez’s artistic and pedagogical approach
Through images, I transpose a written document, an experience, a path.
I juggle colour with words like a symphony.
I search, scrutinize, observe, looking for harmony, fullness. On paper, wood, canvas, I exalt, express, exult, exhume, exhort… in the diversity of materials, including clay. Passing from one to another, from heated coloured resin (encaustic) to oil. I switch to pure water when I work with inks and engobes.
I pose, wait, rest, meditate, everything mixes, fixes, writes itself and a homogeneity appears, in turn, soft, lightning, aggressive, passionate.
Everything takes shape, life is there… The roundness of the colours sings. It appears each time under a new light and you are there, light of my life, you explode through me, each time under a new sky.
Thank you Lord… for all these fleeting, subtle diversities, fixed which is my source of riches
